About

I am 10 years old and live in Seattle. Since 2014 me and my mom have been fundraising to help save cheetahs still living in the wild.

Why I care: Cheetahs have been my favorite animal since I was 2. When I was 6 years old I was reading a book about cheetahs, and it said they might go extinct in my lifetime. I was 6, so I didn’t know what that meant. When I asked my mom what it meant, I got really sad. Then I asked what we could do to help stop that from happening, and that’s how we got involved in cheetah conservation.

What I do: I raise money by online fundraisers, lemonade stands, T-shirt campaigns and more! (Look at our Get involved! page for ideas). When someone seems really interested, we tell them to spread the word, give them some ideas on how to help and good places to get involved with! I encourage you to spread the word!

Why it matters: Imagine a world with no cheetahs! How horrible would that be for not just us, but other kids in the future! But it’s not just cheetahs that are endangered. Also tigers, leopards, chinese giant salamanders and wolves are endangered. I could go on and on and on and on. If you know for a fact that your favorite animal is endangered and you feel that you could make a positive impact, go and make a positive impact! If one species goes extinct, the whole food chain explodes! For example, if garden snakes suddenly went extinct, mouse populations would go way up. There wouldn’t be enough food for all the mice, so then they would eat farmers crops and then there wouldn’t be enough food for us! So I encourage you again, go make a positive impact, whether its for cheetahs or wolves or forests, go!

I can’t do it alone. Cheetahs need everyone’s help to survive. Please join me!
